Custom Web Design
We hand-build your site on the platform that fits how you'll run it, Astro or WordPress, then tune it for speed, search, and the AI answers your customers now ask. The same team designs it, gets it ranking, and keeps it running.
Custom Website Design
Every site is designed from scratch and built on the platform that fits you, Astro or WordPress. No stock templates, no surprise invoices. Here's exactly how it works, what it costs, and how long it takes.
Designed around your brand and your services. Never a stock template.
Astro, WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, and more, whatever fits your business and how you want to run it.
We improve what's working piece by piece, no rebuild you don't need.
Top Core Web Vitals and SEO baked in from the first line of code.
Fast managed hosting, updates, security, and backups, all handled for you.
You own the site, the accounts, and the code. Always.
A close estimate, and we stick to it. If a job needs more, we get your OK first. No surprise charges.
Most of our sites land on Astro or WordPress, our two go-to platforms. We pick based on how you'll run the site, not on what's easiest for us. Stores usually go on Shopify or WooCommerce. We'll tell you straight which one fits, and why.
When speed and search matter most. Astro builds the fastest, cleanest sites we make, with top Core Web Vitals and SEO baked in. Great for service businesses and marketing sites. The trade-off: day-to-day editing runs through us or a light CMS, so it fits best when you'd rather we handle the changes.
When you want to log in and edit often yourself. WordPress is the most popular CMS in the world, with a huge plugin library and easy updates, and we tune it for speed and SEO. The trade-off: it needs managed hosting, updates, and security, which we handle for you.
For selling, we lean on Shopify or WooCommerce. Shopify is hosted and handles payments, inventory, and security for you, for a monthly fee. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so you own all of it and get more flexibility, with a bit more upkeep. We match the one to your catalog and how hands-on you want to be.
Yes, when a design-forward marketing site is the goal and you want a visual editor. It's a solid hosted option. For heavy content or a real store, we usually steer you to one of the others, and we'll say so up front.
Custom Website Design Process
We design your graphics first so your brand isn't boxed into a template. Then we build, refine, optimize, and launch.
We learn what you need, talk through your goals, and agree on a direction.
We send the scope, pricing, and deposit so the project can get started.
Your first design proof arrives within 72 hours after deposit. We design graphically first, not inside a template.
Visual change rounds usually come back within 24 hours, while everything is still easy to change.
Once the direction is approved, we build it on a private test site.
We refine content, layout, and responsiveness page by page and screen by screen.
We improve performance, technical SEO, and search readiness before launch.
Go live when the site is ready, typically about 4 weeks depending on content and approvals.

Most sites run 20 to 25 hours at $75 an hour, so about $1,500 to $1,875, with a $300 deposit to start. First proof in 72 hours, changes turned around every 24, and about four weeks to launch. It's a time frame, not a deadline.
We often improve a site that's working piece by piece, instead of pushing a rebuild you don't need. If a rebuild really is the better call, we'll show you why first.
Yes. The site, the code, and the accounts are all yours. Always. No lock-in, and we never hold your site hostage.
We do, if you want. Fast managed hosting, updates, security, and backups, all handled. Or we hand you everything to host yourself. Your call, either way.
We've built over 2,000 websites since 2009, all from our shop in Mesa. A website should earn its keep, not just look nice. Here's how we build yours, and why a site made for your business beats a template you stretch to fit.
Wireframe first and you're locking in boxes before anyone's made a real design decision. Start from a template and you're stretching someone else's layout to fit your business. Both end in a site that feels templated, not branded. We start from your content and go straight to a real design instead.
A wireframe locks in the grid, the spacing, and the structure before a single design decision gets made. By the time a designer touches it, the shape of every page is already fixed, so the result ends up generic no matter how good the polish is.
A template starts as a finished layout built for a hypothetical business, then your content gets stretched or cut to fit. It always looks like what it is, a template, because the structure was never built around what you actually sell.
After discovery, we skip wireframes and templates entirely and hand your content outline straight to a graphic designer. Nothing about the layout is decided ahead of time, so it gets built around your brand and your offer instead of a generic grid.
Because every layout choice starts from your content instead of a template or a wireframe, the finished design is 100% yours, not a variation other businesses running the same kit are seeing too.
A drag-and-drop template feels cheap to start and gets expensive later. It ships bloated code you didn't ask for, buries your content behind someone else's builder, and ends up looking like every other business that started from the same box. A site built around your business skips all of that. It stays lean, it stays fast, it gets found, and every dollar you put into it keeps paying off instead of covering someone else's software.
A Real Example
The problem. A Mesa HVAC company came to us running WordPress with Elementor stacked on top. Their homepage was pulling in over 2,000 DOM nodes and four separate JavaScript bundles before a single service area was even mentioned, and pages were loading past 6 seconds on mobile. Their previous developer had built every page inside the builder's nested widget structure, so even a simple headline change meant digging through five layers of drag-and-drop containers, and their SEO consultant couldn't find a clean H1 anywhere in the markup.
What we did. We rebuilt the site hand-coded on GeneratePress, no builder plugin running at all. Page weight dropped by more than half, mobile load time came in under 2 seconds, and Core Web Vitals went from failing to passing on every page. Because the markup was finally plain HTML instead of shortcodes, their team could hand edits straight to an AI assistant and get a clean, working change back, something that was never possible on the old build. Rankings for their core service terms started moving within the first month.
Side By Side
Both are real, capable platforms. The difference is what actually ships to the browser. Most WordPress sites lean on a drag-and-drop builder that bloats the code and the DOM. When a client needs WordPress, we skip the builder there too: hand-written HTML on GeneratePress, or Bricks when you want to self-edit. Either way it stays just as lean.

How You Work With Us
Some owners want to hand the whole thing off and just see the finished work. Others like to be in it, dropping in ideas and drafts as we go. Both are real ways to work with us, and both run through the same team, the same design process, and the same human review before anything goes live. Pick whichever fits how you like to work.
You focus on your business. We handle the website, start to finish.
